Dr. Chi Kong Chan
chikong.chan@smart.mit.edu
Chi Kong received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where he developed various liquid chromatography-mass spectrometric methods for detecting human carcinogens aristolochic acids in environmental and food samples and for biomonitoring. Following graduation, he relocated to Singapore in late 2023 and became a member of the SMART AMR IRG. He is now developing a platform that leverages a newly discovered translational regulatory system to enable bespoke, high-yield, cost-effective protein manufacturing in industrially relevant cell systems.
