Obtained my degree, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from De-La Salle Araneta University in Manila Philippines. I started my career as a Research Officer in National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) working on targeted therapies for solid tumours using patient derived (PDX) models.
After NCCS, I joined as a Research Assistant in Singapore Centre for Environmental Life Sciences and Engineering (SCELSE) at Nanyang Technological University, where the focus of my work was to lead the team in doing in vivo experiments to test novel anti biofilm drugs and provide support and train PHD students to learn different animal model techniques.
I joined Tessa Therapeutics as an Associate Research Scientist, under the pre-clinical team of Research and Development department. I worked on animal studies of immune-oncology projects that involve authentication of different cancer cell lines for in vivo tumour studies and xenograft of cancer cell lines using murine tumour models.
Recently joined the SMART-AMR under Peter Dedon’s lab as Senior Research Engineer working on projects using animal models of human diseases. The projects involve infectious disease pathology, drug discovery and development of diagnostic tools.
